Coming SoonFrequently Asked Questions
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored exclusively on your iPhone or iPad. Nothing is uploaded to any server or cloud service. Easy Estate Planner works entirely offline — your information never leaves your device.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Because data is stored locally on your device, it is not recoverable from a lost or reset device unless you made an export beforehand. We recommend regularly exporting a JSON data backup and storing it in a secure location (such as iCloud Drive or a password manager) so you can reference it if needed.
Can someone access my data without my Face ID or Touch ID?
The app is locked on every launch using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode as a fallback. You can also enable an auto-lock timer in Settings so the app re-locks after a period of inactivity. Your device's own security — PIN, Face ID, and encryption — also protects the data at the storage level.
How do I add a family member's estate plan?
Tap the profile icon on the dashboard to open the profile switcher. From there you can add a new family member profile (up to 4 total). Each profile has completely separate, isolated data — switching profiles changes all the data displayed throughout the app.
How do I export my estate plan?
Go to the More tab and tap Export. You can export as a PDF (ideal for printing or sharing with your attorney), a CSV spreadsheet (opens in Excel or Numbers), or a JSON data file (a complete backup of all your data). iOS will present the standard share sheet so you can save, email, or AirDrop the file.
Does the app require an internet connection?
No. Easy Estate Planner works entirely offline. You do not need Wi-Fi or cellular service to use any feature of the app.
What iOS version is required?
Easy Estate Planner requires iOS 17 or later, and is compatible with both iPhone and iPad.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual items from within the app. To remove all data for a profile, delete that profile from the profile switcher. To remove all data entirely, delete the app from your device — because everything is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all associated data.
